My Favorite Pixar Movie Scenes

When they are going to release Inside Out this Friday, Pixar is going to release its 15th animated feature. Also, I have noticed that it has been 20 years since their very first movie, Toy Story, was released. Boy, they have gone a long way but most of their movies now are classics and kids and adults alike enjoy some of their work and contribution. I say this almost every time regarding a Pixar film that the creators, writers and directors do a great job of blending emotion into realistic situations and problems which gets the characters into certain places of the next chapter of your life, which is a prime example from a clip I'll show in a little bit. I am not going to compile a list of my favorite Pixar movies, which I may do later in the weekend after I see Inside Out, but I'm going to show you a list of my favorite Pixar movie scenes from certain movies, so here is the list:

10. Toy Story 2 Intro

This is a great, unpredictable and funny way to start a sequel to a movie that begun a string of potential classic Pixar films.

9. Monsters, Inc. Door Chase

This is a cool sequence that almost looks like an animated movie that Christopher Nolan made with its twisted chase and action sequence. But, it is a tense scene with one tiny flaw, and you'll probably see what it is, which Mike and Sully try to get Boo home.

8. Brave Archery Scene

I do not like this movie as much as the other movies, however, the first half is very strong that I thought it had the potential to become one of the best, but, its silly plot get twisted as Merida's mother , *spoiler*, turns into a bear because of a spell that Merida puts on her accidentally. However, this is a scene from the first half that turns a female character into a strong character in front of potential princes to marry her.

7. Toy Story - Sid Learns a Lesson

This is messed up but hilariously epic as Woody and Sid's "toys" turn on him as he needs to learn a lesson to "play nice." But, what's spooky is that Woody says it to him and Sid runs away being scared. Classic! It is executed really well and finishes with a bag and transitions into the climactic sequence when Woody and Buzz try to get to Andy.

6. A Bug's Life Circus

Well, this is the end to the hilarious sequence of the circus bugs trying to impress the audience of committing a great and risky act in front of the audience. They want to make a name for themselves again but in a bigger away, however, the scene ends in a very humiliating manner and also one of the funniest demises ever. Laugh it off!

5. Toy Story 3 - Ending

This is not my recording. Sorry. But, it's a bad angle. I can't say much regarding this scene. You're going to cry. That is it. That is all.

4. The Incredibles - Edna Mode (Capes)

No capes. The movie has one of the best introductions to one of the best Pixar characters in the canon of the industry because she has some of the best lines and exchanges in the movie and she was not in the movie that much, but she was in it for the right amount of time. A hilarious character making some statements regarding capes that make logical sense.

3. Ratatouille - Cooking Scene

Ah, yes, this is an excellent scene that blends humor, great music, emotion and out of all things, food. It is a technical scene that orchestrates itself into a transition to the main storyline that creates an unpredictable arc of what would happen if a rat is making great food in a top-tier restaurant that is unfortunately suffering. Great movie.

2. Up - Married Life

I have to confess that the first time I saw the scene, or the end of the sequence, I kind of teared up because both Carl and Ellie went of this journey of married life that has its ups and downs but in the end, they enjoyed each other's company and not to get cheesy, it is very romantic. The movie begins with a very strong set-up and execution of Carl's character and life with Ellie and ends on a sour note that will make you feel bad for him and you understand why he is grumpy throughout the whole movie.

1. Wall-E - Define Dancing

This is my favorite Pixar scene because it does not have a very beautiful look to space itself but it has a weirdly romantic scene between two robots that work so well. The scene of them "dancing" is fantastic with the beautiful score from Thomas Newman playing in the background and from the very first time I saw this, I was smiling throughout because I knew that I was watching something special. Again, these movies try to entertain both kids and adults alike. Plus, it ends on a very funny note.

Honorable Mentions:

Toy Story 2 - Tour Guide Barbie

The Incredibles - Where is My Super Suit?

Toy Story 2 - Jessie's Story (Sad, yeah, but it's great character development.)

Ratatouille - Keep Your Station Clear and the Chefs' Intros

Toy Story - Welcome to Sid's House

Ratatouille - Anton Ego Trying Remy's and Linguini's Dinner

Enjoy the clips.

2015 Documentaries

I have only seen 6 documentaries this year which also includes Amy and I Am Chris Farley . But, I have to be honest, this has not been a particularly strong year for documentaries except for onethat got me emotionally and mentally as what I examine for when they uncover the truth or some facts from the people involved in these documentaries. But, here are the four I have seen this year: Listen To Me Marlon, Unrated, 4 stars This is the most insightful documentary of the year as we only hear Marlon Brando narrating his life and experiences what he has gone through regarding his family, his private life and his film experiences regarding The Godfather , Apocalypse Now , Last Tango in Paris , etc. It is like Marlon Brando came out of his grave to give us another profoundly moving movie only we hear his voice and scenery and nothing else. The Look of Silence, R, 3.5 stars Joshua Oppenheimer's follow-up documentary is a light-hearted but still-disturbing film regarding a ...

Daddy's Home 2 (2017), PG-13, ★1/2

The first Daddy's Home was surprisingly a financial success as I thought it was not as bad as many people thought. I thought it was a solid cable watch because it had enough laughs for that sort of mixed recommendation. I was not craving for a sequel for this movie because again, comedy sequels have a very bad record, however, the only difference is that it is not too late since the first movie came out a few years ago. But, this sequel is a reminder as to why we do not need a sequel to a hit comedy because this is a pretty much forgettable comedy, especially a holiday comedy...which I hade a guilty pleasure for. This did not work for me. Brad and Dusty (Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg) have become friends after the events of the first film and they set up a co-dad system where their two children, Megan and Dylan, spending time at each father's home. Dusty has re-married to writer Karen (Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio) and he is step-dad to Adrianna, Karen...

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), R, 4 stars

The stockbrokers worshipping Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) like a god. Wall Street. The clients, the adrenaline, the stocks, the money, the power, and the decadence. The former three pertains to the man's job, but the latter three pertains what any stockbroker wants in order to have the freedom to do whatever they want with the client's money. As Mark Hanna (Matthew McConaughey) would say, "The name of the game is: move the money from your client's pocket into your pocket." We basically spend three hours seeing all of these Wall-Street scumbags steal the clients' money into their own pockets and spend it on booze, drugs, women, and other insane things in more insane activities. I have witnessed here is a great movie that I would not watch repetitively. The movie starts with Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) blowing cocaine onto a hooker's butt and he and his brokers throwing a little person onto a board with a dollar sign in the center. It'...
