The Top 5 Super Bowl Ads of 2015 (Super Bowl XLIX)

This year's batch of Super Bowl ads were good, however, there were more ads that had a message about something than ads with humor. I felt that there should be more balance but with more funny commercials next year. Nevertheless, I thought the Super Bowl game was great, possibly, one of the best games ever because both teams, The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, played extremely well with the game ending with The Patriots winning 28-24 earning their fourth Super Bowl title.

So, here are my 5 favorite Super Bowl ads of 2015 along with a few honorable mentions:

5. Fiat

At first, I thought we were going to get a Pfizer or a Viagra Super Bowl commercial. It would've still been funny. But, since I get that this was in Italy and it was building up to the product regarding the car, Fiat, then they will get consumers to rush to get a Fiat.

4. Snickers

The Brady Bunch+Danny Trejo+Steve Buscemi and you got a Robert Rodriguez crossover with The Brady Bunch. Nevertheless, it was funny and nostalgic.

3. Coca-Cola #MakeItHappy

This was a fresh take on how social media is used today with mostly a negative vibe turning into a positive and happier vibe and spread around happiness all over the world. It is a very good ad that makes you feel good.

2. Budweiser

I had this commercial at #2 because we already have this one that is reminiscent and similar last year but it still worked on many audiences. I do have one advice for Budweiser: Don't be too predictable next year and start a little fresh with another original concept. It'll make the ad agency or team think harder come up with maybe a better ad for next year.

1. Doritos

This is the ad that I laughed the hardest with the guy trying to get mostly everybody to avoid sitting with him during the whole fight until he finds a hot woman and then...well, watch the commercial. It's hilarious!

HONORABLE MENTIONS (The runner-ups):

McDonald's

Clash of Clans

Always

eSurance

(3-way TIE because of the fatherly theme of the ads) Toyota Camry

(TIE) Dove Men+Care

(TIE) Nissan

2015 Documentaries

I have only seen 6 documentaries this year which also includes Amy and I Am Chris Farley . But, I have to be honest, this has not been a particularly strong year for documentaries except for onethat got me emotionally and mentally as what I examine for when they uncover the truth or some facts from the people involved in these documentaries. But, here are the four I have seen this year: Listen To Me Marlon, Unrated, 4 stars This is the most insightful documentary of the year as we only hear Marlon Brando narrating his life and experiences what he has gone through regarding his family, his private life and his film experiences regarding The Godfather , Apocalypse Now , Last Tango in Paris , etc. It is like Marlon Brando came out of his grave to give us another profoundly moving movie only we hear his voice and scenery and nothing else. The Look of Silence, R, 3.5 stars Joshua Oppenheimer's follow-up documentary is a light-hearted but still-disturbing film regarding a

Daddy's Home 2 (2017), PG-13, ★1/2

The first Daddy's Home was surprisingly a financial success as I thought it was not as bad as many people thought. I thought it was a solid cable watch because it had enough laughs for that sort of mixed recommendation. I was not craving for a sequel for this movie because again, comedy sequels have a very bad record, however, the only difference is that it is not too late since the first movie came out a few years ago. But, this sequel is a reminder as to why we do not need a sequel to a hit comedy because this is a pretty much forgettable comedy, especially a holiday comedy...which I hade a guilty pleasure for. This did not work for me. Brad and Dusty (Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg) have become friends after the events of the first film and they set up a co-dad system where their two children, Megan and Dylan, spending time at each father's home. Dusty has re-married to writer Karen (Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio) and he is step-dad to Adrianna, Karen&
